The southern coast of portugal is home to the most picturesque beaches.. and caves. Some of them can only be accessed by boat or kayak. The famous Bengali caves and the Marinha beach are amongst the other attractions. Hire a boat or a kayak to access some of the most secluded beaches in the world.
While February isn’t the busy tourist season, it has its own advantages. The best of trips at a reasonable price, no queues etc. Chances are you could have the whole beach to yourself for that picture perfect shot that you have always aimed for. Don’t forget to pack your rain coat and umbrella for the rainy days here and there.

In February is the surf stronger, or the same. I prefer to visit places off-season.

Its definitely stronger. The water is colder. However with lesser crowds, i found it worth it.

Was that a picture of a stingray? Anyways, I am sad that I never made it over to Algarve when I was in Portugal. I was only there a few days after walking the Camino de Santiago and after returned to Oporto to relax and drink port. But while in Porto, I had met a few people that went to discover the grotto and coves of the area and their pictures were amazing like yours. Guess I need to get back!

That way you get to make another trip to portugal, have some port wine. Its amazing how one part of the country is so different from the other. Completely different landscape. The picture is of a huge jellyfish
